SRK offers pre-construction consulting, general contracting, project management, and hotel renovation services. We also offer property management through our affiliate company, Slowey Management.

The SRK difference starts at the very beginning in selecting the right architect and engineering team to design the project plans. Our experience has taught us what works and what doesn’t work. Teaming up with a design team that listens to what the owner wants and stays involved throughout the entire design process is critical to success. Things like using wall and floor types that provide the best sound ratings, making sure the top of the foundation is at an elevation that allows water to drain away from the building and doesn’t require the bottom of the exterior finishes to be buried by several inches of dirt are all repetitive design issues and are things that can be avoided if you have the experience. Being owner-operators of hotels, SRK looks at things differently from other builders. We know what things will cost the property money over time if not done a particular way in the beginning. SRK looks at new methods and materials, perpetually trying to improve the final product.

SRK Development (named after founders Slowey, Rutjes, and Karli) has been building and renovating hotels since its inception in 2016, with 14 hotels and over $120,000,000 in development by the end of 2022. Founder and Director of Construction Tim Karli has over 29 years of experience in the commercial construction field and brings extensive knowledge to the table.
