Project Manager

Job Brief(s): Project Manager

SRK Development is looking for a confident, reliable, and experienced construction project
manager to supervise hospitality construction projects. This person will direct and coordinate the
project superintendent, construction team, and all subcontractors, ensure proper tools,
equipment and material are available, negotiate contracts, and change orders, and analyze
risks and potential setbacks. You will work closely with the director of construction. You should
be able to work well within a team as well as with external vendors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Travel to and from project job sites as required
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met
• Acquire equipment and materials and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
• Perform detailed analyses and draw up reports for relevant stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or professional experience in a related field for a minimum of 2 years.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Team player with leadership abilities

Physical Demands

• Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time
• Occasional heavy lifting (50+ lbs.) can be expected
• Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of job site in all types of weather
• This position will require significant travel and flexibility
